One of the tools in my toolbox is accelerating delivery and performance while building strong teams. It’s not a perfect science, but I have a history of ‘getting to done’ with the working team more aligned and measurable performance improvements.
Over the past year, I’ve spent considerable time talking to teams and leaders about removing the roadblocks and wowing their stakeholders with extraordinary results. The discussions have focused on a mix of assessments: delivery processes, team behaviors, company priorities, and all levels of accountability.
What I realize as I work with business teams is the thing I’ve known my whole life. Ultimately, it is about the humans and how we invest in each other.
Over the next few weeks, I aim to share my teachable point of view on working with the humans… because my observation is that mastering your relationships with your teams, leadership, and arch-rivals share many traits with mastering relationships with your mate, family, friends, and adversaries.
I am excited to understand your thoughts, feedback, and debate. I hope we have a conversation together, sharing many points of view, experiences, and learn from each other. You never know who will have an a-ha moment, triggered by your stories.
